Dr. Iván F. Irizarry Rodríguez, MD, is a highly trained Internal Medicine physician with a strong academic foundation, extensive clinical experience, and a long-standing commitment to patient-centered care. With education from internationally respected institutions and years of service within major hospital systems in Puerto Rico, Dr. Irizarry brings a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to adult medicine.
Dr. Irizarry earned his Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Behavior from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where he developed a deep understanding of the biological mechanisms underlying human health and disease. He subsequently obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, one of the region’s leading medical institutions. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he trained from 2001 to 2004. During residency, he managed complex medical conditions in diverse patient populations, gaining extensive experience in chronic disease management, acute care, and multidisciplinary coordination.
